Does your company have a core application that it depends on? We are willing to bet the answer is yes. It might be a website that you use, a piece of software, or a custom intranet you built. We use a lot as you can see from our blog – Software We Use. Here is the question… What happens if one of these goes down, breaks, or the developer stops supporting the application? Does you business tumble? For most applications the answer is no. But there is probably one application that if it suddenly broke you would be out of business. We are working up upgrading three legacy applications for clients right now. One moves over 10 million of in inventory a month, one provides 90% of the business for an Inc 500 company, and the other tracks every employee, client, advertiser, and vendor for our client. If you have a core application that needs a little support give us a call. We can help you plan a path to upgrade the application, provide support, or suggest an alternative to make sure you stay in business even if your software developer doesn’t.
If you need a video player that works for the iPhone, Droid or other mobile device and still works great for a normal computer try this out… http://flarevideo.com/#overview. It’s great for you website or mobile application. We actually used something similiar for a local Columbus, Ohio company launching their product to Home Depot.
Steve Lewis recommended a fantastic book about business, productivity, and sales. It’s called “The Ultimate Sales Machine” by Chet Holmes. I’m in the first chapter and already feel like I’ve got my money’s worth out of it. We spend so much time on project management and development that we often forget the basics. This book is fantastic. Thanks for the recommendation Steve. Check out what Steve is doing at his companies site http://ebridgeglobal.com
Check out this great and simple to use media player from Yahoo. Check out the commercial license before you use it on a live website. Should make development easier.
